2011 I participated as one of a group of artists in the Shiryaevo Biennal close to Samara by the river Volga. 14 years ago Russia was in another state.
Some hot days in August by the river I got the idea of returning here by rowingboat. I could almost see myself coming around the river bend amongst some fishers. The idea refused to leave me. So I started to build a boat ten years later. It took some time. During this time Russia went out of its mind. So I sought other goals for my project.
